In recent months Cllr Casserly has been working together with residents in Hillcrest to address some issues locally. Below are the details of several projects she has been involved with…

  • The inspection of Hillcrest with South Dublin County Council road maintenance engineers including inspection of signage, dishing of kerbs and footpath repairs. Works are continuing on the defects and problems identified.
  • Arranging for correct signage to be installed for a number of roads within the Lucan estate.
  • Lobbying on behalf of the area to have Hillcrest estate prioritised for a comprehensive tree maintenance programme during 2017.
  • Securing additional signage to be installed regarding Dog Fouling and recommending the Dog Warden has carry out more patrols locally.

In addition to this, Hillcrest Grove has been subject to dumping which Councillor Casserly had investigated by the litter warden, resulting in the rubbish being removed and the culprits identified.

In conjunction with Councillor Casserly South Dublin County Council has also carried out pedestrian safety improvement works close to Tesco.
