Cllr Casserly was present at the opening of Lucan’s own Fairy Wood in 2015 – she had been working on the proposal for the venture since before she became a councillor.
She said: “I first proposed this to the Council before my election in February 2014, with the help of Minister Frances Fitzgerald.”
Situated in Lucan Demense, the Fairy Wood is a collaboration between the Irish Fairy Door company and SDCC. Set over 2.5 km, there is no charge to visit the magical space which will capture the imagination of young and old alike. There is lots to see and do in the wood, for more information visit www.theirishfairydoorcompany.com.
Cllr Casserly believes that this fantastic amenity gives young families a great place to go and explore & vowed to continue to support the development of amenities & facilities across Lucan & Palmerstown for all ages.
